چکیده

The modelling of the ultrasonic signals reflected from complex curved surfaces is a very complicated task. In order to simplify this task the reflectors are decomposed into multiple planar elements. Then the signals reflected by the planar areas and the areas between two planar elements oriented under some angle can be analysed separately. The objective of this study was verification of the acoustic computer model by simulation and experimentally for the region containing boundary between two planar areas. The used model enables calculation of the signals, reflected by components of complicated geometry decomposed into triangles. Verification of the computer model was carried out comparing the C-scan images obtained experimentally and by simulation. The reflectors were composed of two triangles with different tilt angles to each other. The simulations show, that a shape of the reflector can be recognised only in the case of the specular or close to the specular reflection. The edges of the reflectors can be seen only when they are parallel to the transducer surface. Comparison of the experimental and simulated results shows that the model enables to obtain adequate reflected signals. The good coincidence of the simulated and the experimental signals has been obtained.

Experimental verification of the acoustic computer model using triangle reflector

Objective of this study was experimental verification of the acoustic computer model, which enables calculation of the signals reflected by triangles arbitrally oriented in space. Verification of the computer model was carried out comparing the C-scan images of triangle reflectors, obtained experimentally and by simulation in the case when ultrasonic beam is reflected by triangle reflectors, re...

Web Service Choreography Verification Using Z Formal Specification

Web Service Choreography Description Language (WS-CDL) describes and orchestrates the services interactions among multiple participants. WS-CDL verification is essential since the interactions would lead to mismatches. Existing works verify the messages ordering, the flow of messages, and the expected results from collaborations. In this paper, we present a Z specification of WS-CDL. Besides ve...

Prediction of Instability in Planar Anisotropic Sheet Metal Forming Processes

In this paper instability of planar anisotropic sheet metal during a few forming processes is investigated for the first time. For this reason components of the constitutive tangent tensor for planar anisotropic sheets are developed. By using the above tensor location of necking is predicted. Direction of the shear band is also predicted using the acoustic tensor. A finite element program is pr...

Complementary Periodic Structures for Miniaturization of Planar Antennas

In this paper various layered planar periodic structures which provide miniaturization of planar antennas are proposed and discussed. The proposed designs are based on two concepts, reactive impedance surfaces and complementary periodic structures. In the proposed structures, complementary periodic rings and slots are patterned on the intermediate boundaries of the dielectric layers. A patch an...
